For the final installment of my Birthday celebrations, I gathered friends from other cities in North America and Europe in Venice for an 18th century celebration in a 17th century palazzo. I did a talk on this most fabulous of eras, a harpsichordist did a half hour concert, I did a small show of some of my favourite songs and then taught everyone the minuet. There was a painter from France capturing guests portraits and a photographer there to take a fabulous salon shot of the guests. You only go around once, but if you work it right, once is enough!
